Kurta Care Guide — Keep Your Chhav Outfits New for Years

Washing Tips — Treat Your Outfit Gently

Wash dark & light colours separately

Prefer hand-washing for embroidered or delicate pieces

Use mild detergent only

Cold water always (hot water weakens fabric & fades colour)

Turn the garment inside out before washing

Do not rub embroidery / lace directly

Do not wring — gently squeeze out water

For machine wash → use delicate mode only

Ironing Tips — Keep It Smooth & Elegant

Check fabric label for heat setting

Low to medium heat for cotton & rayon

For embroidery → place a thin cloth on top before ironing

Avoid ironing directly on prints

A steamer works best for delicate fabrics

Hang immediately after ironing to avoid creasing

Storage Tips — Keep Your Chhav Pieces Fresh & Beautiful

Use soft padded hangers for kurtas

Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight

Use fabric garment bags for silk or workwear pieces

Keep space between garments to avoid crushing

Fold heavy work kurtas with acid-free tissue paper

Keep cedar blocks or lavender pouches in wardrobe for freshness

Avoid overcrowding your wardrobe — give each outfit breathing room
